Totsky, Nancy (24 JUN 1961)

 

Miss Nancy Totsky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Totsky of Milwaukee, and Andrew Schmirler, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Schmirler of Abbotsford, were united in marriage Saturday, June 24, 1961, at 11 o’clock at St. John doNesomuc Church, Milwaukee.  Father Wamner read the marriage services and Father Albert Schmirler, an uncle of the groom, sang the nuptial high mass.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of summer taffeta with a chapel train.  She carried a bouquet of three white orchids surrounded by white carnations.

 

Her attendants were dressed alike in Nile green and carried bouquets of coral carnations.

 

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft of Dale, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, Miss Patricia Niedhardt of Butler, George Totsky of Milwaukee, cousins of the bride, Miss Karen Lemke of Milwaukee and Miss Sandra Totsky of Menomonee Falls, nieces of the bride.

 

Dinner for the immediate family was served after the ceremony.  In the evening a reception and dance were held at Pilgrim Club Number One for 350 guests.

 

The new Mr. and Mrs. Schmirler are on a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin and after July 3, will be at home at 3109 N. 38th St., Milwaukee.

 

The groom is an instructor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  Prior to her marriage, the bride was employed as an office clerk.

 

Guests from Abbotsford who attended the wedding were the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Schmirler, and Charles Schaefer and Louis Janda.
