Ratzburg, Oscar (8 March 1879 - 16 June 1954)

 

Oscar Ratzburg, 75, died at his home at 8:30, Wednesday morning, June 16.  He had been ill for several years.

 

He was born on a farm near Loyal, March 8, 1879.  He lived on this farm until his marriage to Martha Schaeffner at Loyal, April 7, 1901.  He then moved to a farm about one mile east of his birthplace and lived there for over 50 years, the rest of his life.  His wife died in September, 1949.

 

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and funeral services were held there at 2 p.m. Saturday.  Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

 

The Rev. E. E. Aalto officiated. The hymns, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and Let Me Go" were sung by Mrs. Ervin Dux and Miss Marie Noeldner with Miss Margaret Ann Rottjer as organist.

 

Pallbearers were Frank Oestreich, Henry Lemke, Otto Lemke, Albert Witt, Harry Voss and Alvin Haslow.

 

Surviving relatives are four sons: Louis, Loyal; Reuben and Elmer at home, and Edwin, San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Ervin, Tacoma, Wash.; Frank, Loyal; and Ernest, Polson, Mont., and three grandchildren.

 

One brother died in infancy.
