Foelske, Otto Henry (26 February 1904 - 10 July 1954)

 

Otto Foelske, 50, died at his home in Loyal at 1:15 Saturday morning after an illness of several months.

 

Otto Henry Foelske was born February 26, 1904 on a farm in the Town of Beaver and lived on this farm all his life with the exception of two years when he worked as a drayman in Loyal. Two weeks ago he sold his farm and moved into the city.

 

He was married to Iva Hutchins at the Loyal Methodist Parsonage on April 24, 1936.  He was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church.  He served for nine years on the school board of Sunnyside School District in the Town of Beaver.

 

Mr. Foelske is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Ray (Janice) Binning, Unity; Mrs. Glenn (Eileen) Owens, Union  Grove; Mrs. DuWayne (Veryl) Jensen, Spencer; Mrs. Marvin (Norma) Teuteberg, Waukesha; and Nelda, at home; a brother, Albert Foelske, two sisters, Mrs. Herman Litka and Mrs. Ida Litka, all of Loyal; and nine grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were conducted at the Loyal Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. W. M. Mecklenburg officiated and burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Arnold Stumpner, Raymond Ertl, Orville Wickman, Otto Goehring, Lawrence Firnstahl, and Hugh Darton.

 

The hymns "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and "I Know not What the Future Holds," were sung by James Colby, accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin at the organ.
