Castner, Royal (February 1918 - 27 September 1954)

 

Royal Castner, 36, a former resident of Loyal, died Monday morning at 4 o’clock at the Divine Savior Hospital, Portage.

 

Funeral services were held at the Loyal Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.  The Rev. W. M. Mecklenburg assisted the pastor of the Portage Methodist Church at the services.  Mr. Castner was a member of the Methodist Church of Portage.

 

He was born February 1918 on a farm near Loyal and lived in this vicinity until nine years ago.  He was married to Lenora Copet, June 30, 1940.  For the past nine years the couple has lived at Portage.

 

He is survived by his wife; a son, Bruce, 2 at home; three brothers, Forest Castner, West Allis, Harry Castner, Oshkosh and John Castner, Loyal; and three sisters: Mrs. Hugo (Hazel) Roesler, Thorp; Mrs. Dan (Nina) Wolter, Loyal, and Mrs. John (Grace) Kosmosky.

 

Two brothers, three sisters and his parents preceded him in death.
