Noeldner, Marie (Marriage - 11 September 1954)

Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the setting for the 2 p.m. wedding Saturday, Sept. 11, of Miss Marie Noeldner and Raymond Oestreich.  A reception was held in the afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Noeldner. A dinner was served in the church parlors.  The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Oestreich.

The bride’s father gave her in marriage. The skirt of the bride’s floor length gown was net with side panels of Chantilly lace over satin and styled with a bustle back.  Her fitted bodice was of Chantilly lace with long sleeves pointed at the wrists.  Her finger tip length veil was of net. She carried red roses and swansonia.

She chose for her maid-of-honor, her sister, Miss Joan Noeldner, whose floor length gown had a skirt of yellow net over taffeta and a lace covered taffeta jacket.  Her bouquet was one large mum surrounded by small mums.

Mrs. William Zubella, in green and Miss Beverly McCann, in orchid, both cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids.  The style of their gowns and their bouquets were similar to those of the maid-of-honor.

The groom’s attendants were his nephew, Richard Oestreich, serving as bestman, and Allen Voight and Eugene Lucht, his cousins who were groomsmen.  Nathan Noeldner, cousin of the bride, and James Voight, Cousin of the groom, ushered.

Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. E. E. Aalto, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Miss Margaret Ann Rottjer was organist for the nuptial music and Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin Dux sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Loyal High School. When they return from a honeymoon in the Western States they will be at home on a farm near Spencer.

Mrs. Noeldner chose a suit of teal blue for her daughter’s wedding with accessories of black while the groom’s mother wore a dress of navy blue with navy blue accessories.

Guests were from Marshfield, Spencer, Milwaukee, Neillsville, Wisconsin Rapids, Appleton, Park Falls, Cashton, Theresa, Mayville, Greenwood and Loyal.
