Kissinger, Lawrence J.(6 April 1907 - 28 November 1954)

 

Lawrence Kissinger, 47, died at 5 p.m. Thursday October 28, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.  He had been in ill health for some time and had been a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital since October 7.

 

Mr. Kissinger was born April 6, 1907, in the Town of Loyal and received his education at Spokeville.  About four and one-half years ago he went to Montana, where he worked on farms until April of this year when he returned home.

 

He was married to Lois Olson but the couple later separated.

 

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kissinger, Loyal, and three sisters: Mrs. Edward (Geneva) Tice, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Jack (Alberta) Teresenski, Oneida; and Mrs. Emily Genett, Marshfield.

 

A daughter and two brothers preceded him in death.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home. The Rev. W. M. Mecklenburg officiated.  Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist for the services and Mrs. Ray Prior and Mrs. G. W. Nelson sang, "Under His Wings" and "Beyond the Sunset."

 

Pallbearers were: Art Lucht, Franklin Rueth, Martin Verkilen, Alfred Gray, Frank Schwanke, and Dan Wolter.

 

Among the relatives present were: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tice, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Emily Genett and children, Marshfield; and Mrs. Hugo Roessler, Thorp.
