Frank Ratzburg, 73, died at the Hendrickson Nursing Home in Owen at 12:45 p.m., November 23, following an illness of a year.  He had been a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for three weeks and the Monday before his death was taken to the Nursing Home.

 

He was born in the Town of Loyal, May, 1881.  He had lived in the vicinity of Loyal all of his life. As a young man he worked in lumber mills.

 

He is survived by two brothers, Ernest Ratzburg of Polson, Mont. and Ervin Ratzburg of Tacoma, Wash.

 

Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.  The Rev. E. E. Aalto officiated.

 

Pallbearers were: Frank Schwanke, Raymond Neuman, Albert Witt, Herb Braun, John Castner, and Otto Lemke.  Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer My God to Thee," with Miss Margaret Ann Rottjer as organist.
