Ernest Goldamer was born in town of Pine Valley on March 12, 1881, to Mr. and Mrs. Julius Goldamer.  In company with five others he broke through the ice at Boy River, Minn., while walking back to a lumber camp and together with three of his companions was drowned.  Deceased was a member of the Pine Valley Lutheran Church and services were held at this church by Rev. Reiff last Friday and interment made in the Pine Valley Cemetery.  Deceased was unmarried and is survived by his mother, brothers, Chas., Paul, Alvin, William and Louis, and sisters, Martha and Emma.  Ernest was a man of fine physique and lived a rugged outdoor life and was an energetic and industrious young man.  He had many good friends here who were sincerely grieved to learn of his untimely end.
