Koerner, Carol Marie #2 (7 OCT 1961)

Miss Carol Marie Koerner, who was given in marriage by her father, became the bride of Dennis Roger Feind, Saturday, Oct. 7, 1961 at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.  The Rev. John Pinion performed the ceremony before the nuptial mass.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Koerner of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Feind, Colby.

For her wedding, the bride chose a street length dress of white silk brocade with a square neckline, full length sleeves and belled skirts.  With it she wore a white velvet and feathered veil hat and short white gloves.  She wore a lavender orchid shoulder corsage.

Mrs. Joyce Runk, West Allis, a sister of the groom, and David Feind, Milwaukee, brother of the groom, were the honor attendants.  Mr. and Mrs. Donald Koerner, Dorchester, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, completed the wedding party.

Francis Beyerl and Carl Bloom seated the guests at the church.

The matron of honor and bridesmaid were attired in identical street length dresses of beige nylon chiffon over taffeta with lace bodices and three-quart length sleeves.  Crystal and gold jewelry, a gift of the bride, and a wrist corsage of gold carnations completed their ensembles.

Dinner for the immediate family was served at the home of the bride’s paretns.  Supper was served at the Abbotsford High School to about 130 guests, and the wedding reception and dance were held at Sportsmen’s Park, Colby.

Following a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the new Mr. and Mrs. Feind will live in Abbotsford.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School and attended Taylor county Teachers College.  Her husband was graduated from the Colby High School in 1958 and is employed at Welch’s Coal Co.

Guests at the wedding were from West Allis, Milwaukee, West Bend, Milladore, Pittsville, Stevens Point, Loyal, Dorchester, Curtiss, Owen, Abbotsford and Rochester, Minn.
