Jensen, Delores (28 JAN 1963)

Miss Delores Jensen and Charles Daniel Hammel exchanged marriage vows Monday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here.  The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiated at the single ring ceremony before the nuptial mass.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jensen of Charles City, Ia., and the groom’s mother is Mrs. Lillian Hammel of Gary, Ind.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zondlo of Rib Lake, uncle and aunt of the groom.

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a street length dress of peacock blue wool, to which she pinned a shoulder corsage of deep roses and white carnations.  She wore a small round white fur hat and white gloves, and carried a prayer book.

Her matron of honor chose a street length dress of gold rayon with which she wore a black hat and black accessories.  Her corsage was like the bride’s.

Following the ceremony a dinner for 24 guests was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Chris.  The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. George Litchfield and family, and Mrs. Evelyn Jensen, all of Charles City, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zondlo and family of Rib Lake; Mrs. Rose Knaack, Owen; Mrs. Bertha Brick, Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Chris and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Chris and family, Abbotsford.

Mr. and Mrs. Hammel are making their home at the Clarence Chris place, three miles east of Abbotsford on Highway 29, where the groom is engaged in partnership farming with his uncle.

The bride, a graduate of the Charles City High School, is employed at Medo-Farms Dairy Bar at Abbotsford.
