Christie, Wisconsin (13 April 1961)

 

The James Holt and Robert Wilsman families were dinner guests at the Earl Holt home Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bensen and daughter, Mabel visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koplitz in Owen Sunday.

 

Mrs. Ezra Poirier of Milwaukee visited Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwick last week, at the Darol Lewis home in Grant, and at the Dick Reber home in Tomah.

 

The Christie Knitting club is taking a vacation until fall.

 

Herman Hediger returned Thursday evening from a week’s airplane trip to Switzerland, where he transacted business and visited relatives.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eddy and family, William Uhlman and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Shaw of Neillsville were dinner guests at the Everett Shaw home Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell presented their daughter, Linda Kay, for baptism Tuesday evening at their home in Christie.  The Rev. J. G. Ruege, pastor of the Globe Lutheran Church, officiated.  Petra and Pearl Kalsow and Gerhardt Scheel were sponsors.  A luncheon was served to the Rev. and Mrs. J. G. Ruege, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kalsow and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Kalsow, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Bell, Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann and Mrs. Martha Hoffmann.

 

Guests at the Bob Bell home last Thursday and Friday included Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Huth, Sr., Herman Scheel of Granton, Robert Scheel and Sandra of Palatine, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann.
