York Township (13 April 1961)


Mr. and Mrs. George Hales, and Mrs. Emma Hemp of Neillsville, drove to Milwaukee Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hainz.  Saturday they attended the wedding of Carl Hainz.  Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eibergen also attended the wedding.  Ed Krejci of Racine and Estelle Krejci of Milwaukee returned with the Hales Sunday, for a visit at the Hales, Hemp and Krejci homes.


Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hansen and family were dinner guests of Mrs. Harry Hansen in Mentor Sunday.


Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buddinger entertained at dinner Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dahnert of Wisconsin Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rennak of the Town of York.


Clarion Counsell of the Town of Grant was a diner guest at the Milford Rowe home Sunday.


Sew and So Homemakers club will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the home of Mrs. Louis Gunia.


Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence DeMert of York Center, Mrs. Rachel Anderson of Marshfield and Mrs. Si Vanderpluoeg of Arpin visited their mother, Mrs. Emma Grimm, in Milwaukee last weekend.  Mrs. Grimm is very ill.


The York Community club will meet April 19, in the evening, at the home of Mrs. Myrtie Davis.


Mr. and Mrs. William F. Seltrecht of Campbellsport, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Seltrecht and family of Fond du Lac, and Minnie and Edna Searls of Granton were dinner guests at the Herbert Free home Sunday.


Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greeler attended the funeral of a relative in Bloomer Thursday.


Gus Timm of Idaho and Mrs. Richard Timm of Garfield, Minn., visited at the Emil Winkelman home last weekend.


Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and family were dinner and supper guests at the Duane Pachal home in Loyal Sunday.


Mr. an Mrs. Edward Greeler, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Greeler and Mrs. Minnie Greeler were guests at the Emil Winkelman home Sunday and helped Mrs. Hattie Forman celebrate a birthday.
