Rahm, Mary Ellen (12 MAR 1891 - 26 JAN 1955)

 

Mrs. Charles Rahm, 63, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, Jan. 26, 1955.  Her death followed a period of several months illness, much of which time was spent in the hospital.

 

Mrs. Rahm, nee Mary Ellen Mueller, was born in Sherman Township, Clark County, Wis., March 12, 1891.  He education was received in the rural school so Sherman and in the Loyal High School, from which she graduated in 1908.  For several years she taught in the rural schools in this vicinity.  She was married to Charles Rahm in the town of Sherman in 1917.  Following her marriage she lived in Loyal and for many years she visited the Old Folk Home here.  She is survived by her husband, on son, Herbert Rahm, at home, and one brother, Charles Mueller of Chili.  Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

 

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Aid.

 

Funeral services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The Rev. Edgar Milleville of Nasonville officiated.  Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Veefkind.  Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden," with Margaret Ann Rottjer as organist.

 

Pallbearers were Martin Fisher, William Rahm, Roy Schroder, Julius Schroder, August Ehlert, and Walter Krahn.

 

Among the relatives who came from away to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schluter, Clam Lake; Mrs. Elsie Ternes and son, Larry Ternes, Milwaukee; Elmer Harp, Waukesha; August Arndt, Minneapolis; Mrs. Maude Stabnow, Mellen; and Miss Alice Giloy, Bethel Convalescent Home, Arpin, with many from Chili, Marshfield, Spencer and Granton.
