Radke, Frank Frederick A. (19 April 1890 - 3 May 1961)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Frank Frederick A. Radke, 71, Neillsville, who died Wednesday in a Dixon, Ill., hospital. The Rev. Verlyn Nelson of the Assembly of God Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Radke, a retired farmer, had resided in this area most of his life.  He had spent several weeks with his children in Illinois since Christmas, and was at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White, when he became ill.

 

He was born April 19, 1890, in Curtiss, son of the later Herman and Eva (Mingle) Radke.  On March 5, 1912 he was married to the former Florence Salisbury in Loyal.

 

He is survived by his wife and nine children: Everett, Salem, Ore.; Clinton, St. Paul, Minn.; Marvin, Loyal; Mrs. Ethel Schreiner, Marshfield; Mrs. Russell (Vivia) Linnell, Welch, Minn.; Mrs. Otto (Vivian) Gorzelitz, Kaukauna; Mrs. Emery (Dolores) Sorenson, Owen; Mrs. Donald (Donna) Gordes, Ashton, Ill.; and Mrs. Herbert (Ila) White, Dixon, Ill.; other survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. R. P. (Esther) Nelson, Sheridan, Wyo., and Mrs. Amanda Otterburg, St. Paul, Minn.; and two brothers, George and Glenn, Tacoma, Wash.; and 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were: Everett Raine, Clarence Schlinkert, Albert H. Mohr, Edward Francis, Henry Elmhorst, and Thomas E. Wren.
