McCauley, Beverly (11 October 1928 - 22 February 2011)

Beverly McCauley, 82, of Neillsville died after a brief illness Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011.

Beverly was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Racine. In her later years, Bev worked for the local phone company in Neillsville and was the clerk or the Town of Hewett.  She was a past president of the local Women’s Republican Party and at one time ran for Clark County Clerk.  She had many interests, including gardening, sewing, reading, and she loved hiking, camping and canoeing.  One of her favorite spring activities was to pick Arbutus wild flowers.

She is survived by her son, James G. McCauley and Debra Tomasiewicz of Longwood, and three grandsons, Timothy McCauley of Appleton, Sean McCauley of Oshkosh and Jason McCauley of La Crosse. She is further survived by three nephews, special friends, Connie and Jeff Strack, many close classmates of Black River Falls High School and the many friends she collected during her journey through life.  All enjoyed her sharp sense of humor, wit and her avid admiration for her beloved Packers.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jenny (Durham) McKevitt, a brother, Larry, and her husband of over 50 years, James A. McCauley.

Per her wishes, there will be a private service at a later date.  She will be buried in the Columbia Cemetery in the Town of Hewett. She will be dearly missed by all that came to love her.
