Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eggett entertained their son Alfred and wife, daughter Minnie, grandchildren Hazel and Fred Eggett and Mrs. Peter Simmons recently.

 

John Cummings of Cloquet, Minn., arrived last Wednesday to celebrate the fourth at Loyal and spend a few days with his sister Minnie Syth and family.

 

Dan Stoneburg and wife were Loyal callers Monday evening.

 

Wess Francis and family of Stevens Point visited old friends here last week and celebrated the 4th at Loyal.

 

James Tucker did business in Marshfield the first of the week.

 

Rev. Robinson was accompanied to Christie Sunday by C.W. Tidd where they intend re-organizing the Sunday School.

 

Geo. Ware and Guy Boyce drove to Hemlock Saturday to hear Mr. Jaseph speak.

 

Johnnie Maxin and family are receiving a visit from relatives and friends from the eastern part of the state.

 

The Ware, Miller, Hoffman and Boyce families spent the fourth at the home of M. Bopce. [Boyce?]

 

The school meeting last Monday night was well attended. Harry Hewett was elected treasurer to succeed J. A. Dunn.

 

The home of Frank and Nick Ender was struck by lightening Thursday night, considerable damage was done but no fire resulted.
