Funeral services were held from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal Saturday morning for Mrs. Anna Schecklman, 91, of the Town of York. She died June 14 at her home from complications of old age.

The Rev. Norbert E. King was in charge of the services and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Franklin Walter, Anthony Walter Joe Hoeser, Leon Hoeser, John Goetz and Romie Goetz.

A resident of this country since she was 16, Mrs. Schecklman was born November 15, 1869. She had made her home in Clark County since 1889, after living for four years in Brooklyn, N. Y. She moved into Loyal in 1931; but returned to the farm in 1949, when she became ill.  Her husband died in July 1939.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters: Leo of Neillsville, Philip of Loyal and Albert; Mrs. James (Rose) Gibson of Madison, Calif.; Mrs. George (Frances) Walter of Loyal; and Mrs. Albert (Tillie) Rushlow of Beaver Dam.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
