Patterson, Rita Gail (Marriage –1 July 1961)

The First Presbyterian Church in Hixton was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Rita Gail Patterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Patterson, and Dennis Paul Bieneck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bieneck of Neillsville.  The Rev. Richard Shriver performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decked with baskets of flowers.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white silk organza floor-length gown fashioned with a chapel train. A head piece of orange blossoms held her elbow length veil. She carried a white cascade bouquet of white roses centered with an orchid.

Miss Edna Wolfgran, Milwaukee, was her maid of honor, and her bridesmaids were sisters of the groom, Miss Iris Bieneck and Mrs. Lila Gurney.

The groom’s bestman was Roger Patterson, of Milwaukee.  Louis Gurney Milwaukee and Larry Ehlers, Dorchester were his groomsmen. Ushering duties were preformed by Roy Bieneck and David Chenoweth.

A wedding reception for 200 guests was held in the church hall following the wedding.

On their return July 17 from a wedding trip to Yellowstone and the Badlands, they will reside at 2581 S. Justin, in Milwaukee.

The bride has been employed as a secretary and the groom as a welder in Milwaukee.

Among the out of town guests for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Slye, Mrs. Roy Brown, New Jersey; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Johnson, (missing portion here) .
