Theisen, Barbara (5 NOV 1955)

Miss Barbara Theisen wore a white, waltz length gown of lace over faille, a fingertip veil and pearl earrings for her marriage Saturday, Nov. 5, 1955, to Homer R. Betts, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Bretts of Painesville, Ohio.  The ceremony performed by the Rev. Fr. Norbert King at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church parsonage, was followed by a dinner in the church parlors at 12:30 p.m., and a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Theisen.

An arrangement of Figi mums, surrounded by bronze and daisy white pompons, composed the nosegay carried by the bride.

Miss Joan Barnes, R.N., Greenwood, as maid of honor, attended her friend in a Delphi blue, waltz length gown of crystalette.  Her nosegay was pink and white pompons.

The groom chose of his best man, Edward O’Neill of St. Paul, Minn.

The bride is a registered nurse, a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Marshfield.  She has been employed at Quisling Clinic at Madison.

The groom has just completed four years in the U.S. Air Force, having been stationed at Truax Field, Madison.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Bretts will make their home at Painesville, Ohio.

Out of town guests came from eau Claire, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Madison, South Milwaukee, Painesville, Ohio, Geneva, Ohio, Chicago, Ill. and Winona, Minn.
