Granton, Wisconsin (10 August 1961)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Quicker accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Otto Holnbach of Loyal to Wisconsin Rapids Sunday, where they enjoyed a picnic at the Henry Knoll home.

 

The Granton Happy Homemakers club will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the home of Mrs. Leslie Hebard.

 

The Rev. L. E. Schreiber was attending a north Wisconsin district convention Monday through today in Wausau.

 

Members of the Foursome Bridge club were entertained Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Jerry Smith in Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Anna Zahradka and daughter left Saturday to spend several days in Sheboygan Falls with her daughter, Mrs. Wuensch, and her family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Marg and son, and her mother, Mrs. Gertrude Gilbertson, have returned from a vacation in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Marg visited his sister and family in Springfield, and Mrs. Gilbertson was a guest of her son, Clarence and his family in Rockford, Ill.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burnett and children, Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Gehrman Radke and family, Mineral Point, were overnight guest on Tuesday of the ladies’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Spry.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Heyne, St. Paul, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Herman of Cochrane called Saturday at the Lloyd Spry home.

 

The Pricilla club, organized in 1917, held its annual picnic Saturday in the parlors of the Methodist Church. Twenty-two attended.  A memorial service was held for three members who died in the last year.

 

Mrs. Earl Pickett, Spencer, who attended the Priscilla club picnic, also visited her sisters, Misses Pearle and Daphne Beeckler. They took her home Saturday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Rachel Royceland, South St. Paul, Minn., visited Saturday in Granton and Attended the Priscilla club meeting.

 

Mrs. Mabel Austin is visiting her sister, Mrs. Elmer Knickel, in Marinette.

 

Misses Pearle and Daphne Beeckler and Miss Mabel Williams were in Stevens Point Friday, where they attended graduation exercises of the summer school group.  Miss Ione Pickett, a member of the class received her degree.
