Paasch, Beverly  (22 AUG 1953)

The Rev. E. E. Aalto officiated at a candlelight wedding ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal on August at which Beverly A. Paasch became the bride of Floyd Olsen.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kobs and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs, Chris Olsen, both of Loyal.

Miss Jeanne Kobs was the honor attendant for her sister and Wesley L. Lackmann, Eureka, S. D., a college classmate of the groom’s served as best man. Ushers were Harold Kobs, brother of the bride, and Allen Quost, Greenwood, cousin of the groom.

For her marriage the bride chose a pale blue ballerina-length nylon Tulle-over-taffeta formal with cap-sleeves and Peter Pan collar accenting the lace bodice. Her scalloped shoulder-length veil was secured by a headpiece trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a lavender orchid on a white prayer book.

Miss Kobs wore a salmon pink ballerina-length gown styled with mandarin collar and cap-sleeves. Her matching headdress was similar to the bride’s but she wore no veil. her flowers were white gladioli and pink rosebuds.

Immediately following the ceremony  a reception and a supper were held in the church parlors.

After a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin the young couple will live in Dubuque, Iowa, where he will attend Wartburg Seminary and she will be employed at Finley Hospital. The new Mrs. Olsen is a graduate of  Marshfield Senior High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing while her husband graduated from Loyal High School and Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa.
