Spiegel, James Allen (19 July 1960 - 20 March 2011)

 

Jim Spiegel, 50, of Neillsville died Sunday, March 20, 2011.

 

James Allen Spiegel was born July 19, 1960, the son of Alfred and Gerrie (Hoeser) Spiegel. He attended Neillsville Public Schools and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1978.  He then worked for Tesmer Construction for 10 years.  He was united in marriage May 11, 1985, to Debbie DeMert in Neillsville. In 1988, Jim went to work to Osprey Construction and 11 years later he started his own company, Spiegel Construction, which he owned and operated for the past 11 years.

 

Jim was a workaholic, but in his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and he loved hunting and fishing.

 

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; a son, Dylan of Neillsville; his mother, Gerrie Schultz of Neillsville; and a brother, Tom Spiegel of Neillsville. Jim is also survived by his best friends, his labs, Jake and Jessie.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, and his step-father, Gabby Schultz.

 

A memorial service for Jim will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Fr. Varkey Velickakathu of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville will officiate.
