Globe, Wisconsin (31 August 1961)


A reunion was held at the John Poppe home Sunday in honor of Mrs. Art Hemp and son, Dennis, of Columbus, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hemp of Beaver Dam, who have been house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mitte.  Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitte and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mite and son, Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Vincent and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Poppe and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Kroll. Dinner and supper were served.


Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Giel of Whitewater, Calif., and her sister, Mrs. Albert Kalsow of Neillsville, spent Monday afternoon with their sister-in-law, Mrs. Martha Hoffmann. They and Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann were her super guests.  Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Grap spent the afternoon with the group.


Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Kalsow, Mrs. Martha Hoffmann and Gerhardt Scheel were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann Sunday.


Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hagen and family were Sunday dinner and supper guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sturtz, Sr. at Loyal.


Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagen and family spent Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hagen and family.


Miss Sharon Beyer spent the weekend with Gloria Berthold in Greenwood.


Mrs. Robert Beyer and daughter and son, Bobby, and Mr. and Mrs. Lebrecht Kalsow drove to Garden Valley Thursday and were dinner guests of Mrs. Beyer’s sister, Mrs. Lloyd Sackett, and her family.


Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dux and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thoma and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux, and Mr. and Mrs. William Morley of Granton were Sunday afternoon visitors and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McDough and family honoring the birthday of their son, Michael.  Last week Wednesday they entertained in honor of the birthday of their son, James.  Mr. and Mrs. McDough and family of Chicago area are spending their vacation at their home here, formerly the Fred Glasow home which they purchased from Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux.


Mrs. Hilda Thoma spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffmann.
