Aho, Toivo J. (20 MAR 1926 - 23 FEB 1958)

 

Funeral services were conducted for Dr. Toivo J. Aho on Friday, Feb. 28, from the Ritier Chapel in Milwaukee with the Rev. Henry Heinbuch of the Emmanuel Reformed Church officiating, with organ selection by organist William Schultz.

 

Dr. Aho died in a skin diving mishap on Feb. 23, 1958 near Lake Worth, Fla., while visiting his father Emil.

 

Dr. Aho was born in Owen (Clark Co.) , Wis., on March 20, 1926, and moved to Waukegan, Ill. in the spring of 1927 with his father, soon after the death of his mother.  He attended public schools in Waukegan, graduating from Waukegan Township High School in 1943.  Prior to his induction into the army, he studied at the University of Illinois in Champaign.  He was graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathy and served his internship at the Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee.  Since February of 1951 he practice with Dr. F. E. Hecker in Milwaukee.

 

Dr. Aho was a member of the Lakeview Hospital staff and a member of the county, state and national osteopathic societies.

 

Surviving are his widow, Doris, two sons, John and Richard of Milwaukee; his father, Emil of Lantana, Fla.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lisa Rauha, of Owen.
