Sherwood Township (28 September 1961)

 

Mrs. Ernest Kissling attended the funeral of Mrs. Edna Beyer Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn, Mrs. Ed Short, Ernest Kuhn and sons, Paulie and Rickey, and Mr. and Mrs. David Krutsch visited Mrs. Ernest Kuhn at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday afternoon, and found her getting along nicely.

 

Francis Shaw helped Adolph Mazourek fill silo the latter part of last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Amos Kegley of Lake Beulah spent the weekend with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short. They also visited relatives of Mrs. Kegley in Adams Saturday.

 

Mrs. Art Odell entertained company from Chicago last weekend.

 

Dan Palmer, Detroit, Mich., underwent surgery in Eau Claire Friday and is getting along nicely.  He had surgery on Tuesday of last week, but it wasn’t successful.  Mrs. Palmer is a sister of Mrs. William Ottow and Mrs. Ollie Poler of Granton, and they were visiting her sisters when he was taken ill.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Skretteberg were Sunday dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Feutz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Amos Kegley of Lake Beulah, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short called on Rudolph Frantz, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Winters, Mrs. Floyd Hagie, Mrs. Ed Short and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Stevens Sunday afternoon.  They are all former neighbors of Mr. Kegley when he lived in this vicinity about 40 years ago.

 

Mrs. Oliver Williams attended the W. S. C. S. meeting at the Neillsville Methodist Church last Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz visited last week Thursday with his brother, Herman.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Dehart spent Thursday evening with Mrs. Art Odell.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Junchen called at the Ralph Short home Wednesday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Vandeberg and son of Wisconsin Rapids visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams, Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Herman Dahnert home.
