Kowalewski, Marjorie J. (Boyles) (July 20, 1938 - January 12, 2011)


Marjorie J. Kowalewski, 72, Owen, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

 

Marjorie was born July 20, 1938, to Julian and Grace (Gehrke) Boyles in Handock. On August 25, 1956, she was joined in marriage to her husband, Vernon at Sacred Heart Catholic, church in Stetsonville. 

 

The two of them lived and worked their farm in the town of Holway. Marjorie also owned and operated "Good As New" upholstery in Owen for 25 years. 

 

Marjorie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping, watching birds and tending to her garden. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. 

 

She is survived by her husband, Vernon; children, Sally (Ronald) Konieczny, Owen, Gale (Clifford Jr) Burke, Chelsea, Mark (Cindy) Kowalewski, Kevil, KY and Lori (Harold "Butch") Brandt, Medford; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; brother, Carl Boyles, Owen; and sister, Gloria (Omar) Hubbard, Ettrick.

 

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Timothy Tillison,  and sister Mary Jean Scheuneman.


Her funeral service will be 7 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Father S. Nathan will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.


A memorial will be established at a later date. 


The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
