Christie, Wisconsin (9 November 1961)

 

Hans Harder was elected president of the newly-organized Mound-Christie Parent-Teacher Association which was organized Thursday evening at Christie School.

 

Robert Chadwich was elected vice president; Mrs. Ed Anderegg, secretary; Mrs. Bernard Opelt, treasurer.

 

Earl Ruedy, principal of the Neillsville Elementary Schools, spoke on, "The Consolidated School and the Report Card System."  A lunch was served.  It was voted to meet the first Thursday of each month. The December meeting will be held at the Mound School.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harder and children of Manitowoc visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harder, Sr., and other relatives in the Christie area Sunday.

 

Mrs. Grant Slone and Ruth Ellen visited in Mazon, Ill., and in southern Wisconsin last week.

 

Mary Ann Halle, Sharon Richmond and Joan Schultz, students at Stout College, visited at home last weekend.

 

Mrs. Allen Gutenberger will be hostess today (Thursday) at a meeting of Weston Homemakers.

 

Randy and Russell Bennett of Cranmoor spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Johnson and children of Anoka, Minn., visited Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer last weekend. The Johnsons and Schaefers were dinner guests at the Bradley Bennett home in Cranmoor Sunday.
