Remer, Bette Mae (Marriage - 11 November 1961)

Miss Bette Mae Remer, Rt. 3, Elkhorn, became the bride of William C. Marty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Marty of Neillsville, in a double ring ceremony performed Saturday by the Rev. Dean Hancock in the First Methodist Church in Elkhorn. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Remer of Elkhorn.

For her wedding the bride chose a white velvet ballerina length gown fashioned with long tapered sleeves and a scalloped neckline. A blush veil fell from a sequin and pearl trimmed, head piece.  She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and red garnet roses.

Mrs. Charles Williams of Imperial, Cal., matron of honor, wore a gold satin gown with three quarter length sleeves. The full, semi-bell skirt was enhanced by a flat bow at the waist. She wore a matching pillbox hat with veil and her cascade bouquet was made up of white carnations and ivy.

Robert Marty served his twin brother as best man.  Ushers were Jack Remer, brother of the bride, and Michael Jones, Beloit, a nephew of the groom.

A buffet luncheon was served in the Moose Hall for 200 guests immediately following the ceremony.

On their return from a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Marty will reside on Rt. 3, Elkhorn.

The bride a 1957 graduate of Elkhorn High School is employed in the office of the Walworth County Superintendent.  Mr. Marty, a 1955 graduate of Neillsville High School, works for a telephone Company in Elkhorn.
