Shambaugh, Ellen (Marriage - 11 November 1961)

 

A double ring ceremony was performed November 11 by Rev. Norman Lindloff in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, uniting Miss Ellen Shambaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shambaugh of Rt. 2 Neillsville and Walter L. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Schmidt, also of Rt. 2, Neillsville.

 

Frank Shambaugh, a brother of the bride, was the bestman, while Kenneth Shambaugh and Herbert Nemitz ushered.

 

"The Lord’s Prayer" was sung by Robert Mitte, accompanied at the organ by Victor Lehman.

 

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in the Town of Pine Valley and a supper was served at St. John’s School for 100 guests.

 

The bride received her education in Kewaunee, Ill.  Mr. Schmidt a graduate of Neillsville High School is a milk hauler.  They will reside in Neillsville.

 

Guests were present for the wedding from: Kewaunee, Ill., Stevens Point, Clintonville and Shawano.
