Ramker, Edith #2 (18 FEB 1888 - 2 SEP 1958)

 

Mrs. Edith Ramker, 70, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died at her home Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 2, 1958, of a heart attack.

 

The body laid in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home where a rosary was said at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby.  The Rev. John Pinion officiated and burial was made in the Colby Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Ramker was born Feb. 18, 1888 in Minnesota, and was married to John Ramker in 1906 at Charles City, Iowa.  They lived there until 1929 when they moved to Neillsville (Clark Co.).  In 1937 they moved to a farm in the town of Hull.  Mr. Ramker died in an auto accident in 1946.

 

Surviving are three sons, Virgil Ramker, Medford; Merlin Ramker, Max Ramker, Colby; four daughters, Maxine Ramker, Shawano; Mrs. Velma Becherer, Wis. Rapids; Mrs. Clarence (Bernice) Koerner, Ripon; Mrs. Floyd (Betty) Peterson, Spencer; 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Fods, Charles City, Iowa; Mrs. Iva Malloy, Colorado Springs, Colo.

 

One son, Melvin, died in the same auto accident with his father.
