Grant Township (25 January 1962)

 

Verne G. Howard attended a director’s meeting of Dairyland Electric in La Crosse last Thursday and Friday.

 

Joyce and Joann Foemmel, who completed the first semester of study in Eau Claire College Friday, have enrolled in Stout State College. They plan to take home economics to prepare for teaching or extension work.

 

Gail Smith, Douglas Opelt, Kenneth Thiede, Helen Bereznicke and Joyce Garbisch visited from Friday to Tuesday at their respective homes. They started the second semester in Eau Claire College Tuesday.

 

Joanne Braatz and Loretta Lewis spent the weekend at their respective homes. They started the second semester in Stout College, Menomonie Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Alan Voigt were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Goke in Cochrane Sunday.  The Gokes will move to Viroqua February 1.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Opelt and children were entertained at supper Sunday evening at the Robert Langreck home.

 

Joe Kaczor and Leon Schultz plan to visit Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mullaley, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kaczor and family, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kaczor and family and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kaczor and family in Milwaukee this weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Chambers and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Spaete were weekend guests of friends in Westby.  They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Upton in Black River Falls.

 

Mrs. William (Bonnie) Wagner spent Thursday and Friday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hughes. She flew to Alabama Saturday to join her husband, a lieutenant in the Army.
