Rand, Pfc. Howard M. (Military - 1962)
Pfc. Howard M. Rand, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton H. Rand of Rt. 1 Chili, has completed the 26-week Nike universal electronic maintenance course at the air defense school, Fort Bliss, Tex. Rand received instruction in the assembly, installation and maintenance of the Nike Ajax and Nike Hercules guided missiles.
He entered the army last April and completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The 1959 Granton High School graduate was a mechanic in Marshfield prior to entering the army.
