Burzynski, Loretta D. (25 OCT 1958)

St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at Thorp was the setting of a beautiful wedding when Miss Loretta D. Burzynski exchanged vows with Bruno J. Jarocki at a ceremony performed on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1958 with Father Francis Piekarski officiating at a 10:00 o’clock Mass.  Mr. Alois Ciolkosz furnished the organ music and the church choir sang hymns for the occasion.  The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lottie Burzynski of Thorp and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Jarocki, Sr., of Withee.

…(missing portion) imported sequins and pearls were used for decorated the Basque bodice and the high collar, the traditional long tapered sleeves were of lace.  Nylon tulle was used in marking the overskirt which featured wide bands of scallops.  Sequined trimmed lace fell over the frothy tiered skirt.  A Queen Ann tiara of pearl and sequins held the fingertip silk illusion veil.  She carried a cascade of red roses and lily of the valley.

Serving the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Pauline Depa of Chicago.  Mrs. Charlotte Olejniczak of Thorp, sister of the bride, Sandra Olejniczak, friend of the bride, and the groom’s sister, Mildred Jarocki, Withee, were bridesmaids.  They selected ballerina length dresses in ruby red taffeta and Copen blue.  The dresses were styled with scoop neckline which dipped into a V in the back, the bodices were fitted.  The very bouffant taffeta skirts had overskirts in tiered net.  To complete their attire, the girls wore crowns of identical color of the gowns and crystal necklaces which was a gift of the bride.  Their beautiful colonial  bouquets were of pink and white carnations.

Dainty Carol Zaidel had the role of flower girl.  She wore a floor length gown with white clipped velvet flocked on nylon sheer over pink taffeta.  She wore a pink pastel veil which was attached to a white crown.

Best man was Roger Olejniczak of Thorp, brother-in-law of the bride, Bernard, Burzynski, Thorp, a brother of the bride and the groom’s cousin, Edwin Wegner of Withee, were the groomsmen.  All wore white dinner jackets and midnight blue trousers.  The groom wore a lily of the valley boutonniere and the groomsmen wore carnation boutonierres.

Mrs. Burzynski wore a blue dress with lace over taffeta for her daughter’s wedding, and the groom’s mother wore a dress of Navy blue.  Both of the mothers wore a shoulder corsage of red and white roses.

After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the immediate families.  Tables were set for four hundred guests at a six o’clock supper, after which dancing to the Jolly Polkateers Orchestra was the main event.

Mr. and Mrs. Jarocki will make their home in Withee after their return from their wedding trip in the southwestern states.
