Laski, Joseph (22 SEP 1882 - 30 APR 1959)

 

Joseph Laski, 76, was place in his final resting place in the family lot at the cemetery in Dorchester on May 4th.  Funeral services had been conducted by Father H.L. Crubel from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.  Serving as pallbearers were Arthur Smasal, Donald Smasal, Sabin Scherf, Lester Himes, Buford Nicholson and Walter Blunck.

 

The deceased was born Sept. 22, 1882 at Colby, Wis., and passed away April 30, 1959, when he suffered a heart attack at his home southwest of the village of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

On June 18, 1912 he was united in marriage to Gabrilla Baronsky in a ceremony performed at Hewitt, Wis.  For many years they farmed near Deer Creek and then moved to the Withee community where they successfully farmed for 19 years until his retirement in 1957.

 

Survivors include his wife, four sons, George, Sweet Home, Ore., Louis of Curtiss; James of Owen and Jerome of Withee; two daughters, Margaret Ladonis, Berwick, Pa., and Constance Pacewicz, Chicago, Ill.  One son, Anthony, preceded him in death.
