Wallace, Pearl (8 August 1890 - 1 March 1962)

Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Avery (Pearl) Wallace, 71, of Minneapolis, Minn., who died there March 1.  The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Wallace was the daughter of the late Dale and Jennie (unreadable).  She was born August 8, 1890 in Clark County.  The family lived at Shortville and she attended the Cannonville School. On August 20, 1909 she was married to Avery Wallace, who died in 1956 (?).  They operated the old Schaefer Store, a mile east of the present Shortville Store. They moved to Neillsville and in 1925 moved to Janesville. She had resided in Minneapolis for the last 12 years.

 

She was a member of the Lyndale Congregational Church in Minneapolis and also of Chapter 9, Order of Eastern Star.

 

Mrs. Wallace is survived by a daughter, Miss Mildred Wallace of Minneapolis.

 

Pallbearers were: Carl Stubbe, Lewis Arndt, Ralph Short, Irving Stevens, Glenn Roberts and Elliott Warlum.

 

"The Ninety and Nine" and "Rock of Ages" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Those from away here for the service were: Miss Mildred Wallace and Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Page, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Jule Stubbe and Carl Stubbe, Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Arndt, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Art Short, Granton, and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Feutz.
