(Schultz) Alan, John  (21 OCT 1967-06 APR 2011)

John Michael Alan (Schultz), 43, formerly of Greenwood, passed away unexpectedly in New York City, N.Y., on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. A visitation will be held at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, on Thursday, April 21, from 4-8 p.m. No services will be held.

John was born on Oct. 21, 1967, in Hanford, Calif., and moved to Wisconsin with his parents in 1969. He loved to compose music, play piano and to be the life of the party. He will be remembered for writing and performing his graduation class song for the Greenwood High School class of 1986. He loved to share his gift of musical talent by singing or playing the piano whenever he would come home to visit, or over the phone. He was very interested in animals, and animal behavior and science, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the rest of us.

Survivors include his parents, Tawana (John Hastings) Schultz, Dubuque, Iowa, and Dennis (Debbie Marvin) Schultz, Greenwood; five siblings, Ronnie Schultz, Stillwater, Minn., Dee Schultz, Marshfield, Cindi (Robert) Weisenberger, Eau Claire, Debbie (Tim) Welch, Tony, and Dawn (Kevin) Cook, Loyal.

He loved his nieces and nephews with all of his heart and his favorite thing to do with them was to encourage them to use their imagination and to know that whatever dreams they had, they could come true. Ashley, Dillon, Tyler, Alexis, Sam, Julia, Jack and Owen will surely miss their uncle.

He is further survived by his loving grandparents, Howard and Joyce Schultz, Greenwood, and his aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends that he has made all over the country.
