Havelin, Audrey K. (13 DEC 1958)

 

Chapel No 2 at Bitsburg Air Force Base, Germany, provided the setting for the marriage of Miss Audrey Katherine Havelin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walfred Havelin of route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and A/2c Ronald L. Metcalf, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Metcalf of Greenwood, on the 13th of December 1958.  Chaplain Albert Grathe officiated at the 6 p.m. service.

 

The bride repeated the marriage vows adorned in a white lace and nylon tulle waltz length gown.  Her veil was attached to a feather half hat edged with tiny seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white carnations.

 

Mrs. Walter Geisberg, wearing a pale green frock and carrying a bouquet of pink carnations was the matron of honor, while the groom chose as his best man, A/2c Walter Geisberg.

 

Guests were greeted by the newlyweds at a reception held at the Hemmerling Hotel in Herfrost, Germany. 

 

After a honeymoon of touring the Oifel region of Germany, the young couple is making their home at 144 Weisstrasse in Speicher, Germany.

 

The new Mrs. Metcalf is a 1958 graduate of the Owen-Withee Senior High School and has also been employed at the Thorp Finance Corp.  Mr. Metcalf attended the Greenwood High School.
