Hacker, Arthur F. (18 FEB 1899 - 3 DEC 1959)

Friends and relatives of Art Hacker were shocked when they learned of his sudden death which occurred at his home in the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) Thursday evening when he suffered a heart attack.

He was 60 years of age.

Arthur Frederick Hacker had been a resident of the Town of Hoard, route 2, Owen since 1944, coming here with his family from Milwaukee where he was born, educated and employed as a painter until he moved here, settling on a farm.

He was born Feb. 18, 1899 in Milwaukee.  On the 31st of May, 1927, he and Esther Linder were united in marriage in a ceremony performed at Waukegan, Ill.  He is survived by his wife, one son, Kenneth of San Diego, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. William (Phyliss) Schwartz, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lover (Corrine) Olson, Owen.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Rev. James Stone officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Robert and Fred Ham, Milford Smith, Joe Karaba, William Maki and Ed Johnson.  In charge of floral offerings were Mesdames Shirley Karaba, Ilene Maki and Pentha Puro.
