Gustafson, Patricia (20 AUG 1960)

Miss Patricia Gustafson of route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of John David Miller, Downers Grove, Ill., Saturday, Aug. 20, 1960.  The Rev. Otto Weber of Fifield officiated in the sacristy of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Owen at 10 o’clock Saturday morning.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gustafson of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Miller, Downers Grove, Ill.  Mr. Gustafson gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride appeared for her wedding in a gown of tulle and lace over satin detailed by a bateau neckline and long sleeves with the floor length skirt ending in a chapel train.  The skirt also featured tiers of ruffled tulle with a lace apron effect on the back and front.  Her fingertip veil was attached to a crown of lace and seed pearls and she carried a cascade arrangement of red roses, white carnations and stephanotis.

Susan and John Miller were flower girl and ring bearer.

Attending the groom were Gerald Younker of Dorchester, as best man, and Mannon Gustafson and Gerald Wachsmuth of Owen, groomsmen.

Wedding day events were a reception at the home of the bride in the afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 o’clock, and a dance in the evening at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Mrs. Miller is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and has been employed at the Woodridge Construction Co. in Downers Grove.  Her husband graduated from Lincoln High School in Park Falls, and works as an inspector at Shaffer Bearing Division of the Chain Belt Co. in Downers Grove, where they will make their home on returning from a wedding trip through Iowa and southern Illinois.
