Holman, Bernice (7 JUN 1941)

A very pretty double ring ceremony was performed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fairview, when Miss Bernice Holman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holman, became the bride of Mr. Roman Bever, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bever, Saturday, June 7, 1941, at 8:00 o’clock, the Rev. J. J. Sheridan officiating.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of blue chiffon and wore a white fingertip veil.  She carried a pretty bouquet of pink roses, baby breath and ferns.  The bridesmaid, Miss Florence Zimmerman, wore a floor length gown of rose organdy, a rose coronet, and carried a bouquet of yellow and rose carnations.

The groom wore a suit of teal blue, and the best man, Laurence Bever, also wore teal blue.  They wore white carnations on the lapels.

A family dinner was served at the home of the bride at 11:00 o’clock.  Ater dinner, the party went to Blair Studio, where pictures were taken.

A shower was given for the newlyweds in the afternoon at the bride’s home.  Many lovely gifts were received, and a cafeteria supper was served.

In the evening a wedding dance was given to their many friends and relatives.  Everyone joined in wishing them a happy married life together.

On Sunday, June 8, the wedding party and family were all together again, at Peter Bever’s, where a splendid dinner was served.

They spent a short time at the Wis. Dells, and then returned to Milwaukee where they will take up residence.
