Chili (19 April 1962)


The Fremont Homemakers Club met last Thursday afternoon at the William Dankemyer home.  Mrs. Martin Dankemyer was the hostess.  Mrs. Milton Rand, president, conducted the meeting.  The song, "Easter Parade" was sung by the group. Seeds and bulbs were exchanged by members.


A donation was made to the Cancer fund.


The following officers were elected for the coming year: president, Mrs. Robert Rollins; vice president, Mrs. Ed Plowman; secretary, Mrs. William Schmitz; treasurer, Mrs. Everett Kaufmann.


Visitors were: Mrs. Werner Doehr, Mrs. John Prust and Mrs. Rudy Kearns.


The next meeting will be held at t he home of Mrs. Lyle Doehr.


The Goldenrod Homemakers Club met last Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lawrence Dix.  All members were present. Visitors were Mrs. Edward Ott, Hazel Ott and Mrs. Larry Dix.


The project, "Good Grooming" was given by Mrs. Ted Smith and Mrs. William Lindow.


Mrs. Ed Schlinsog, health chairman, gave a reading on "Rheumatic Fever."


Plans were made to attend Achievement day at Greenwood, May 8.


A lunch was served by the hostess.


Mrs. Amelia Mundt returned home last week after spending the winter with her sons and their families in Washington.
