Denise Jill Manthe, 54, of Greenwood died at her home Monday, May 30, 2011.


A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, rural Greenwood , with the Rev. Mark Schwinn officiating. Interment will take place in Immanuel UCC Cemetery at a later date.


Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service Saturday. A gathering of family and friends will take place immediately following the service at Bert and Jill's house, 118 S. Crocker Ave., Greenwood.


Denise Jill Larson was born June 9, 1956, in Marshfield to Jerome and Leanne (Vollrath) Larson. Jill worked as a waitress at the Patio Restaurant in Marshfield and then at Dairy Farmers of America, in Greenwood. She married Norbert "Bert" Manthe July 13, 2002, at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Jill was currently employed at Mayville's Market, in Greenwood, where she was the deli manager.


She is survived by her husband Bert, her daughter Bayley Joy Stoflet of Florida, her mother Leanne Holozsi, of Greenwood, sisters Kathy Brux of Greenwood, Lorie Peet of Blaine, Minn., and Kara (Jon) Rendell of Greenwood; brothers David Larson of Homer, Ark., Joel Larson (April) of Greenwood and other relatives.
