Lato Family History (Reunion - 2011)

For years, the Lato families had a reunion picnic in Thorp, WI.  Now, for a number of years, it’s been every two years.

Many years ago in Lubartow, Poland, Blazek and Eve (Olreniczyk) Lato had five children: a daughter, Frances, and four sons, Vincent, Felix, Philip and Anton. They were all married in Poland. Daughter, Frances (Lato) Wozniak and family immigrated to Canada, living there and raising their family.  The sons, Vincent, Felix, Philip and Anton and their families immigrated to the United States, settling in the Thorp, Wisconsin area, and raising their families here.  The five Lato children have all passed away, and many related families remain in the Thorp, WI area and throughout Wisconsin and the United States.  There probably are some in other countries also, as this has gotten to be a small world.  This year is the Lato Reunion Picnic year, Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Yellowstone Trail (City) Park, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Lunch served at 12:30 p.m.  Bring your family and a dish to pass and share this information with your family members. We would like to reach out to all the relatives, so they could get acquainted and plan to see each other every two years, if possible.  Plan your vacations for that time.
