Christie (16 Apr 1914)

C. Nutting drove down from Loyal Saturday, returning the same evening.

F. Wheeler shipped calves last week.

Ladies Aid will meet with Mas. G. Harper, April 23rd, for dinner.  Don’t forget the date.

J. Bohnsack had the misfortune to have a five-year-old colt die with lockjaw last week.

The pie party was well attended and a good time reported at Mr. Newel’s Saturday.

At the recent election there were 28 votes for a saloon and 89 against it good for Weston most the voters know we did not need a saloon.

Mr. Borman has been re-elected clerk, Mr. Barrett Treasurer, Mr. Suckow, Mr. Hiles and Mr. Hemp for town board and we are now in hopes of getting some work done on our cross roads.
