Rice, Beverly J. (26 MAR 1944)

St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church was the scene of a pretty wedding at 4:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon, March 26th, 1944, when Miss Beverly Joan Rice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rice of Fairchild, and Pvt. Arvid N. Anderson were united in marriage by the Rev. Norman J. Dechant.  The groom is a son of Mr. and Gustave H. Anderson, Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.).

Appropriate music was played through the wedding ceremony by Mrs. Will Theiler.

The bride wore a dressmaker suit of mist blue, with navy accessories.  Her corsage was of sweetheart roses and baby breath.  The bridesmaid, Miss LaVerne Schnoor of Eau Claire was dressed in navy, with a corsage much like the bride’s.  The groom wore his army uniform, and was attended by Robert Bell as best man.

A wedding supper was served to fourteen guests at Tourist Haven.  The table was prettily decorated in red, white and blue, and large bouquets of spring flowers.

Friends of the bride and groom serenaded them and they left the same evening for a honeymoon trip to Sturgeon Bay.

The bride is a graduate of the Fairchild High School, class of ’42, and the groom is an alumnus of Humbird High School, class of ’41.
