Flynn, Jean E. #2 (26 AUG 1944)

In a single ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Norman J. Dechant at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Neillsville, at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 26, 1944, Miss Jean E. Flynn, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Flynn, and Vernon A. Giloy, son of Philip Giloy, were united in the bonds of matrimony.

Attending the couple were Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Ruth Giloy, brother and sister-in-law of the groom.

The bride was attired in a blue suit, with a corsage of pink roses and white baby chrysanthemums.  Her attendant wore a blue crepe dress with matching corsage.  The groom wore a brown suit, and his attendant blue, with boutonnieres to match the corsages.

After the ceremony the wedding party partook of a six o’clock dinner at Keller’s Fireplace, and in the evening their friends were entertained at Hotel Humbird.

Both are local young people and are graduates of Humbird High School, the groom with the class of ’41, and the bride was a member of the class of 1944.  They have already begun housekeeping on the Dunn farm,  recently purchased by Clarence Giloy.

A pre-nuptial shower was given in their honor by Mrs. Clarence Giloy and Mrs. Wm. Staves, at the Giloy home, Sunday evening, Aug. 20th.
