Smith, Lorraine (Marriage –28 July 1962)

 

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday afternoon in the Methodist Church uniting in marriage Miss Lorraine Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith of Neillsville, and Walter W. Seaman, Neenah, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Seaman of Johnson City, Tenn.

 

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lloyd Mauer before an altar adorned with baskets of pink and white gladioli and tall candelabra.

 

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and for her wedding wore a floor length gown of delustered satin that was fashioned it a semi bouffant skirt.  The semi Basque bodice was enhanced with a cuffed neckline and gently flared short bell sleeves, which flowed to the softly controlled bell type skirt.  A shoulder length veil cascaded from a floral net head piece.

 

A cascade bouquet of white gardenias and deep pink rosebuds with green ribbons matching the green in the bouquet made up the bridal bouquet.

 

Miss Alice Riemer of Wisconsin Rapids served as maid of honor and Miss Ruth Longholtz of Neenah was her bridesmaid.

 

The groom was attended by his brothers, Nelson Seaman of Kingston, Tenn., as best man, and Robert Seaman of Knoxville, Tenn., as groomsman.  Ushers were Lloyd Carlson, Alvin Campbell and Mike Marsh.

 

Miss Carol Peterson played the nuptial music, and Mrs. James Musil accompanied Mrs. Edwin Heuer of Janesville, soloist.

 

On their return from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin Mr. and Mrs. Seaman will reside in Neenah, where the bride, a graduate of the Eau Claire State College is a teacher. The groom is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and is a paper mill employee.
