Gueldner, Donna Mae (Witte) (1936? - June 6, 2011)

 

Gueldner, Donna Mae (nee Witte), age 75, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2011.

 

Donna was a grateful heart transplant recipient who made the most of her additional 12 years of life.

 

She enjoyed teaching public school before "retiring" to raise a family and was active in area Girl Scouts for many years. She will be remembered for her independent spirit. 

 

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

 

She was a loving mother of Lori (Brian) O’Neil, Jay (Nancy) and Kurt (Rachel); proud grandma of Nathan and Megan O‘Neil, Rob, Tim and Caroline Gueldner; Jacob, Anna and Mica Gueldner; sister of Dennis (Charlotte) Witte, and the late Karla Witte; and is further survived by other relatives, friends and neighbors. 

 

A memorial gathering was held at the Hartson Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. A memorial service was held at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 W. Janesville Rd., on Friday, June 24, at 2:30 p.m. Private family inurnment.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Donnas’ honor to VITAS Hospice Charitable Fund, 2675 N. Mayfair Rd., Suite 480, Wauwatosa, WI 53226, or to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) at www.unos.org or UNOS Foundation, 700 N. Forth Street, P.O. Box 2484, Richmond, Virginia.
