The Colby High School class of 1956 held its 55th year class reunion on June 4th at Allison’s Steakhouse in Abbotsford. The evening began with a social time, followed by a meal.
Ben Jakel was once again master of ceremonies for the evening. Special guests were former teachers, Martin Haavisto and his daughter, Caryn, Rhinelander; and Duane Olson and his wife, Gale, Amherst Junction.
A moment of silence was held for the 11 deceased classmates and several teachers.
Each classmate gave a brief report about themselves. Various table decorations were awarded, and the rest of the evening was spent socializing.
