At a 9:30 ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, Saturday, June 2, Miss Jeanne Marie Kolbiske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kobiske, Greenwood, route one, became the bride of Burton Ronald Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Wells, Greenwood.

 

Officiant for the nuptial rites was the Rev. Father N. E. King.

 

Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gerald Kobiske of Loyal, route one. She wore a blue suit with blue and white accessories and her flowers were pink and white carnations.

 

Mrs. Norbert Friske of Greenwood, a sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and wore a blue suit with white accessories, and her flowers were also pink and white carnations.

 

The bride wore a beige suit with pink and white accessories. Her flowers were red roses and stephanotis.

 

The groom chose Gerald Kobiske, Loyal, Route one, brother of the bride, for his best man and Norbert Friske, Greenwood, his brother-in-law for groomsman.

 

Corsages of white carnations were provided for the mothers of the bridal couple. Mrs. Kobiske wore a beige dress with white accessories and Mrs. Wells wore a light blue dress with beige accessories.

 

A dinner, reception and supper were held at the home of the bride’s parents.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School, class of 1955. She is employed in the bookkeeping department of the Marshfield Clinic.

 

The groom graduated from the Greenwood High School, class of 1953. He is employed at the D and R Furniture Mart.

 

Following a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin and Canada, the new Mr. and Mrs. Wells will live in Marshfield.

 

Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Duane Anding; Mrs. Alfred Dux and son and Mrs. Arthur Dux and daughter, Neillsville; Mrs. O. K. Ripplinger, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Friske and family, Whitehall; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kobiske and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Kaiser and family, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Perone and family, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kobiske and Mrs. Charles Hebert, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Cale, Mrs. Catherine Kaiser, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kaiser and family, Mr. Earl Kaiser and Mrs. Albert Shervey, all of from Cadott.
